i was one of a few who went to school their, kidagarden to 1st grade .after they converted the college into a grade shcool.then1977 came the new school johnston elementry. now i miss that old school.
i went to school thier kindagarden to 1st. grade . some time after the school closed it became an elementery, miss that school, i still remember playing in the old gym .. nice post thank you for the memeries.
I remember going to school there K thru 3rd grade. When I return to Hopkinton area to visit family I always make sure I stop and look around, just for the memories.
I attended K through 2nd grade (1972-1974)there before my family moved from Hop-town to Monona. I can recall school lunches in the basement cafeteria, Phys.ed in the old gym, and getting my polio vaccine shot in the first grade. I received my first kiss from a girl in the old playground, I wish I could remember her name... My family lived 3 blocks or so north of the campus so it was easy for us to walk to school even on the coldest days of winter. I can also recall enjoying Civil War Days and still have an felt souvenir Grey "Kepi" and Confederate States Battle Flag amongst my personal archives.
