A Touching Tribute to Hopkinton, IA and the Campus of Lenox College

Stacey Murray had a touching article on her hometown of Hopkinton, IA published by The Daily Iowan on December 17, 2014.  While her compelling story of economic decline is certainly familiar to many who have lived in the Midwest, Murray notes that survival is certainly possible and cites several towns that have been able to reverse their fortunes.

The former Lenox College campus remains largely untouched in Hopkinton since it closed in 1944 and Murray's article includes a wonderful slideshow with 27 images of the town and campus.
